Centre Events

Table Tennis Event Over the years the Domed Main Arena has played host to a wide range of Events.
Examples of these include: General Election Count, Scottish Open Squash Championships, Children's Arts Festival, Scottish Country Dance Festival, St Andrews Day Dance Festival, Quilting Exhibition, World Cities Hockey Event, International Gymnastics and Canoe Exhibitions, Active Sunday, Folk Festivals and Corporate Sports Events.
Bell's Sports Centre prides itself on the adaptability of the Arena to accommodate any event.

The Main Arena is floored with a Gransprung Area Elastic flooring. This is multi functional and suitable for staging most events such as Concerts or Exhibitions.
The Arena is divided for day-to-day use into three courts each containing 5 Badminton Courts, which is ideal for staging Corporate Sports Days or Five-a-Side Football Competitions. For major events the sections can be taken out to leave the 32,500sq ft clear for the lay out of the event. The Dome roof, which houses the main arena, spirals up to a height of 50ft.

The Arena has 15 portable telescopic seating units, providing tilt action plastic seating for up to 750 people. Two portable telescopic seating units provide tilt action padded fabric seating for 100 people. A further 200 individual chairs are available and further seating can be hired for the requirements of your event.
We also have Merrick Sico variable staging available. The Main Arena has a fixed centrally mounted TOA four way speaker system with amplifiers. The system can work 4 microphones, and contains a 6 CD changer and double tape deck.

In addition to the Main Arena, the Coaching Hall is a smaller area providing an ideal venue for smaller events. Some examples of events that have taken place include: International Badminton, Martial Arts Events, National Fencing Competitions and Dance Festivals.
The Coaching Hall is 9300sq ft and is floored with multi purpose Taraflex.
There is five-bench type seating that accommodates up to 200. The seating from the Main Arena can also be used in the coaching hall and individual seating for 200 is available. Additional seating can be hired if required.

There is a public address system with wall-mounted speakers. The system can operate 4 microphones, 2 of which are radio microphones. Also included is a 6 CD changer and double cassette deck. In addition the hall contains nets, which allows the area to be sub divided. Merrick Sico variable staging is also available.
