Personal Fitness Service

Induction or Personal Programme?
Whether you require to attend our one to one Induction to get you started, or would like your own Personal Fitness Programme to help you achieve your goals, our dedicated team of instructors will guide you in the right direction and then continue to be on hand to provide the motivation required to keep you going.

Firstly you need to decide what level of assistance you require:

Fitness Weight ProgrammeHave you ever used a Gym before?
Yes - You require an initial Induction so you can access the Rodney Fitness Gym safely and effectively - see Section 1.

Yes - You want to benefit from more detailed advice and the motivation provided by an instructor - see Section 2.

No - At this stage you only want to be shown how to operate the exercise equipment to maximum benefit - see Section 1.

No - You require assistance to get you started but also would like more information and advice as well as encouragement to ensure that you do not lapse - see Section 2.

SECTION 1 - Induction
The Induction is aimed both at individuals who have had previous gym experience and are comfortable with operating exercise equipment, as well as those who are completely new to exercise of this kind.
Please note that it is necessary to attend an full gym induction before using any PKL Fitness Gyms.
This session lasts approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. This induction is normally “one to one” but we are happy to provide for couples or small groups of 2 or 3 friends. Contact Reception on 01738 630901 to book a suitable time.

SECTION 2 - Personal Programme
This service will ensure you are exercising safely and effectively whilst providing the motivation you need to achieve significant health and lifestyle changes. You will meet with an instructor who after a brief medical screening, will discuss your exercise needs and perform some basic fitness tests. A programme will then be designed, tailored specifically to your needs. This process lasts one hour and must be booked in advance.

Your instructor will then continue to monitor and evaluate your progress with regular review sessions, ensuring you are maximising your visits to the gym and really feel the benefit.

Fitness Testing
Appointments are available for having your fitness evaluated. This is a worthwhile procedure prior to beginning any exercise programme, as it gives you an indication of your base fitness level. There are various different packages available. Fitness tests must be booked in advance.
