Swimming Lessons
Strathearn Recreation Centre runs a variety of swimming lessons for
the following categories:
• Adult
& Child
• Pre-School
• School Aged Children
• Adult
• Disability Swimming
Lesson Details
The ASA National Plan for Teaching swimming is taught in 10 week blocks.
To aid continuity of teaching for participants, lessons will run for 50
weeks of the years. The festive period will be when the lessons break
is, with assessments being continuous and ongoing throughout the block.
Lessons Costs
All lessons, excluding parent and child - £2.70 liveACTIVE / £2.10
Concession. All lessons must be paid for as a block.
Parent & Child classes - these are pay on the day and cost £2.80
liveACTIVE / £3.70 non liveACTIVE / £2.10 Concession. To obtain
the concession discount the parent/guardian must have a concession card.
Missed Lessons
Please note we do not refund sessions that are missed due to holidays
or illness. We only refund for lessons in circumstances where lessons
have been cancelled by PKL. All refunds are allocated at the end of a
block when participants are paying for the next block. Reception staff
will deduct the number of sessions to be refunded from the block price.
Payment for Lessons
Re-enrolment and payment for the next block of lessons takes place from
9.00am on the Monday of Week 9 of the block until 9.00pm on the Sunday
of Week 9. Any remaining places not paid for will then be removed from
the classes and places allocated to others. Payment must be received during
Week 9 or the child's place will be lost. Payment can be made by cash
or by cheque or alternatively by telephone if payment is made by credit
or debit card.
