Perth & Kinross Leisure has been in existence for nearly 40 years but has changed significantly in that time. Initially know as Bell’s Sports Centre (Perth) Ltd, the Company name was changed to Perth & Kinross Recreational Facilities Ltd in the mid 1980’s when Perth Leisure Pool was created. A further five indoor recreation facilities were added during the 1990’s.

The restructuring of Perth & Kinross Council in 2000 coincided with the production of a Company Improvement plan, which identified the need to create a ‘corporate’ structure. This ultimately led to the creation of a Company Head Office, the company name changing to Perth & Kinross Leisure and the structure which is presently in place.
