Bell's Sports Centre Redevelopment FAQs

FITNESS CLASSES AND GYM

Q. When will the new facilities open?

We have a FREE open weekend on Saturday 9TH 07:30 – 17:00 & Sunday 10TH 08:30 – 17:00 July.  Everyone is welcome, whether you are already a Live Active customer or completely new.  A warm welcome is guaranteed, and our expert team will be on hand to show you the ropes and answer any questions you have.

Q. What type of equipment will be on offer in the new gym?

Our state-of-the-art gym is packed with 100+ pieces of the latest Matrix functional, strength, resistance and cardio equipment including treadmills, bikes, ascent trainers, ski erg, Olympic lifting bars, weights and platforms, tank resistance sled and more! We also have some exciting new kit such as the revolutionary Go Series which provides the perfect starting point for those looking to dip their toes into the world of strength and circuit training. With minimal adjustments, low starting weights and smaller progressions, anyone can quite simply sit and go!

We’ll also be offering gym-based group training sessions which will provide engaging and dynamic workouts using our extensive range of new equipment. These sessions will give you the best of both worlds; by having lower numbers in the group, the instructor will be able to focus on individual guidance and motivation, plus you get the added benefit of training with others in a group environment.

Q. What classes will be on offer?

Our three new dedicated fitness studios will offer more variety of classes, more often, with both instructor-led and virtual classes. The Fitness Studio is all about high energy, big impact classes such as Circuits and Les Mills BodyPump, BodyAttack and BodyCombat, whilst the serene Mind and Body, which overlooks the beautiful North Inch, will offer holistic workouts such as Yoga, Pilates and Les Mills BodyBalance. Cycle enthusiasts will love our new Cycle Studio, a dedicated cycle class studio with more bikes than ever before.

We have some exciting new virtual classes too, including Earth + Sky; a collection of specially curated Yoga, Pilates and Barre classes that are suitable for all abilities. With cinematic style productions filmed in incredible locations and specially commissioned music, these immersive classes will provide a virtual experience like no other.

To view the class programme, visit our website for full details: Timetables (liveactive.co.uk)

Q. Will the class programme at Bell’s be the same as it is at Live Active Rodney?

As we will have 3 Fitness Class studios in the same building, this will allow us to offer more classes at peak times, providing more choice for you.  This therefore means that the programme will not be as it is at Rodney currently. The programme will be under constant review, and it is our intention to add even more classes to the programme after the initial opening period.

Q. Will you still be offering instructor led and virtual spin classes?

Yes, our new larger, designated Spin Studio will offer both instructor led and virtual classes.
