Try A Tri, Run A 10K or Get The Kids In The Swim
Well, with January over it's time to look forward to some of the year's big goals and for all of us here in Highland Perthshire and Strathearn that means fixing the dates for the annual Highland Race Series. We started with multi-discipline sports almost 30 years ago in Perthshire and since then Live Active Leisure has grown this appetite for a challenge into a series of fantastic events. We are now extremely fortunate to hold some of the UK’s best and most well-run events and with the addition of kids Aquathlons in both Aberfeldy and Crieff there is now an event to suit everyone.
From 8 to 80, newcomers to experienced athletes, we're saying book in now and start your 2017 sporting challenge! If you're not quite ready for participating then why not join up as a volunteer? We'd love to see you there in any and all capacities - as they say, the more the merrier!

The popularity of the Perthshire events is undoubtedly down to the fantastic atmosphere which has built up around them. With over 100 local volunteers joining members of the organising committee, there is a true community spirit and participants from near and far are welcomed in to take part in these award-winning races.
You don’t need to be a seasoned athlete to join in; many of the now regular participants started their tri-journey at Aberfeldy and find the well-organised, close-knit community a real motivator when it comes to pushing on and reaching that finish line. Why not start with the 10K? Or pull together a team and enter a relay during the Aberfeldy sprint. This allows strong swimmers to put in the distance in the pool and all the cyclists out there to get on their bikes and pedal to success!
We can offer guidance and advice during your training period and we urge you to check back on Monday 13th for our top tips designed to help you achieve your best.
