Disabled Access Day 2016
Live Active Leisure are joining forces with the P&K Centre for Inclusive Living in support of Disabled Access Day on Saturday 12th March 2016. The day is all about raising awareness and encouraging people with a disability to visit a new place or try something new.
To encourage people with a disability and their carers to come along and access our venues. We will be offering FREE access to SWIMMING and COURT ACTIVITIES subject to venue availability on Saturday 12th March between 10am and 4pm. There are over 12.2 million disabled people including over 6.5 million carers in the UK. A Euan’s guide survey evidenced that (95%) of disabled people searched for disabled access information online before visiting somewhere new for the first time. Following on from this, 98% of disabled people, their friends and families said they would be likely or very likely to make a second visit to venues they felt were accessible.
To get free access on the day, all you need to do is quote ‘Disabled Access Day’ at the time of attendance to get free access.
