Active Schools Coordinators from Auchterarder and Crieff proudly hosted a vibrant P5–7 Netball Festival at Strathearn Community Campus, bringing together 35 enthusiastic pupils for an afternoon of sport, teamwork, and fun.

Teams from The Community School of Auchterarder, Crieff Primary, and St Dominic's RC Primary School competed in six full-court Netball matches. The event was free to participate in, reflecting the Active Schools mission to remove barriers and make sport accessible to all.

A special thank you goes to TCSOA Secondary Young Leaders Nina and Saoirse, who umpired the games and demonstrated outstanding leadership. Their involvement is part of the Active Schools LEAD sport leadership programme, which supports young people in developing coaching and mentoring skills.

Nick Keiller, Active Schools Coordinator at Live Active Leisure, shared:

“We are delighted to be able to offer our young people from the Auchterarder and Crieff clusters the opportunity, through the work of Active Schools, to access free, competitive physical activity in the form of a cluster Netball festival and the benefits that come with playing sport for your mental and physical wellbeing.”

The festival was a celebration of community spirit and youth engagement, showcasing how sport can empower and inspire pupils both on and off the court.
