We are delighted therefore, to announce that this year’s nomination period for the Perth and Kinross Sports Person of the Year is now open!  We’re looking for entries for sporting achievements completed between 1st January 2018 and 31st December 2018 – and we’re inviting the whole of Perth and Kinross to get involved.

It’s really easy: Simply click here and complete the online form.  You can also download and post back to Live Active Leisure, Caledonia House, Hay Street, PERTH, PH1 5HS.

We will be recognising these achievements in a fantastic ceremony which will take place in Dewars Centre on Friday 8th March 2019.  Hosted by Jim Spence, BBC's Scottish Sports Broadcaster, the evening promises to be a great celebration of sports in the area. This year's guest speake is 400m hurdler and 2016 Olympic Medalist, Eilidh Doyle (Child).  Eilidh is the most decorated Scottish athlete in Olympic, World, European and Commonwealth competition and was Team GB Captain at the 2017 World Championships.

Now in its 29th year, the award ceremony will honour clubs, individuals, teams and events that play an active role in the sporting life of Perth and Kinross.

Bruce Renfrew, Partner at Thorntons Solicitors in Perth, who are this year's headline sponsors commented: “We are thrilled to be able to support the Perth and Kinross Sports Awards again this year.
