Live Active Loch Leven are aiming to help SWIMATHON SMASH £50 MILLION TARGET IN 2018

Swimathon, the world’s biggest annual fundraising swim, has raised a staggering £48 million in the 30 years since it began, and Live Active Loch Leven will be one of almost 600 venues around the UK aiming to help Swimathon reach the £50 million milestone in 2018.

The 2018 event will take place over three days from 27th – 29th April. Previously Swimathon has attracted over 700,000 swimmers across the UK raising money for charity, and this year welcomes Marie Curie and Cancer Research UK as its joint charity partners.

Live Active Loch Leven has hosted Swimathon for over 20 years as it welcomes swimmers to take part in one of our Sunday sessions. Two sessions are currently available on Sunday; 1000-1330 and 1330-1600.

The joint charity partners of Swimathon 2018 are Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie.

Cancer Research UK, the world’s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving lives through research, will be involved in Swimathon for the first time.

Marie Curie, the UK’s leading charity for people with any terminal illness and their families, has been Swimathon’s charity partner ten times since it launched in 1986 and has raised over £17 million for the charity through the event during that time.
