Q. WHEN WILL YOUR VENUES REOPEN?

Following the recent Scottish Government update on 20th August, we’re excited to announce that the following venues and services will reopen on reduced hours from the 14th September.

  • Live Active Rodney – Fitness & Strength Gym sessions
  • Bell’s Sports Centre – Fitness classes and Virtual Cycling classes 
  • Live Active Loch Leven - Public Lane swimming / Club Swimming & Gym sessions 
  • Live Active Atholl – Gym, Fitness classes & Sportshall
  • Dewars Centre - Curling & Bowling Leagues (from 19th October, no casual sessions)
  • Wellbeing Classes - All Ability Cycling, Stride for Life walks

Q. WILL YOU BE OFFERNG THE SAME ACTIVITIES AND SERVICES IN ALL VENUES WHEN YOU REOPEN?

Our initial stages of reopening will focus on a small number of venues and activities, as listed above.  By taking a phased approach to reopening we are giving ourselves the best possible foundations on which to recover and grow. 

As we start to re-open our venues and services, it will be gradual, and done in a way that ensures we attract customers back but also, very importantly, in a way that’s financially sustainable.

Q. WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO MY DIRECT DEBIT FITNESS MEMBERSHIP? 

Our Direct Debit Memberships will remain frozen until further notice, however you do of course have the option to reinstate your Direct Debit by clicking here This goes a long way in supporting us financially which is greatly appreciated and a thank you goes out to anyone who has already done this. 

Q. CAN I PURCHASE A FITNESS MEMBERSHIP?

Q. WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO MY ANNUAL FITNESS MEMBERSHIP?

You can continue to have your membership on hold until a later date or you can restart your membership from 14th September. When we restart your annual membership, we will add the number of days that were remaining on your membership from 16th March until the membership end date or 14th September.

Q. I THINK MY LIVE ACTIVE CARD HAS EXPIRED, WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

You don’t need to do anything just now.  We will ensure that all those with a Live Active card subscription will have the number of months from when we were closed until we reopened, added to their account.

Q. WHEN WILL THE SWIMMING POOLS REOPEN?

Please see above opening information regarding swimming pools.  

Perth Leisure Pool remains closed for the time being due to the flood damage, further announcements will be made once detailed surveys have been completed and guidance is available. 

Q. WILL I NEED TO BOOK FOR AN ACTIVITY, OR CAN I JUST TURN UP?

We will require all customers to book and pay online for their chosen activity.  Fitness members, with an active membership will be able to book 2 weeks in advance.  Everyone else will be able to book 1 week in advance.

Q. WILL THERE BE A TIME LIMIT FOR ACTIVITIES?

Gym and swim sessions will be 1 hour long.  Fitness classes will be determined by the length of the class, ranging from 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Q. DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING WITH ME FOR FITNESS CLASSES?

We ask that you arrive ready for your class, with a face covering (for use when in a non-activity area), water bottle and if you are attending a BodyBalance, Pilates or Core Stability Class you must bring your own mat.

Q. HOW DO I CANCEL A BOOKED ACTIVITY?

To cancel a booking please log into your Book Online account and select ‘Manage My Bookings’ from the menu. You’ll then be able to select the booking(s) you wish to cancel.
We ask that customers do not contact us by email or phone to cancel their bookings as we are dealing with a large number of enquiries and may not be able to cancel your booking in time.

Q. I WANT TO USE YOUR GYMS, BUT I HAVEN'T COMPLETED A GYM INDUCTION?

Q. WILL ALL ACTIVITIES BE AVAILABLE WHEN YOU REOPEN?

When we reopen our programme of activities and services will be reduced initially, but we’ll take every opportunity to increase them as we go forward.

This will be reviewed every 3 weeks; any changes or amendments to the range of activities offered will be communicated through our social media, website and customer newsletters.

Q. CAN MY CHILD GO SWIMMING?

Currently, sessions are available only to adults or young people at secondary school aged 11 and over. Everyone attending must be able to comply with the lane swimming etiquette

Q. WHEN WILL MY CHILD’S SWIMMING LESSONS RESTART

At this stage we are unable to provide a date as to when swimming lessons will restart.  We will notify parents via email once a start date has been confirmed.

Q. WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH MY CHILD’S SWIMMING DIRECT DEBIT?

Our Swimming Lesson Direct Debit membership payments had a freeze applied from Monday 16th March 2020 which will remain in place until further notice.We’ll contact parents in advance of this date before restarting the monthly Direct Debit.

Q. WHEN WILL CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES, SUCH AS WEE SPRINGERS & GYMNASTICS RESTART? 

Unfortunately we do not have a date for classes such as these restarting.  We are currently assesing the flood damage to the coaching hall floor at Bell's Sports Centre.  As soon as we have more information we will update customers.

Q. ARE YOU OFFERING AN OCTOBER HOLIDAY PROGRAMME

Due to the current restrictions, we are unable to run an October Holiday Programme this year.

Q. I HAD BOOKED AND PAID FOR MY CHILDS NEXT BLOCK OF TERM TIME CLASSES, WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

We can confirm that this payment will be rolled forward when we reopen. We don’t have a date of when the next block will take placehowever we’ll notify all parents as soon as we do. 

Q. I HACLUB BLOCK BOOKING IN ONE OF YOUR VENUES, IS MY SPACE STILL AVAILABLE

We’re in the process of contacting all clubs, it may not be possible for you to return to the same session you had prior to lockdown.  However, we endeavour to work closely with you to find a way to accommodate your club

As facilities become available, we’ll provide further detail with regards to booking and local operational arrangements.  

Q. WILL THE CHANGING AND TOILET FACILITIES BE OPEN?

Toilets will be available for customers to use, however changing rooms will be limited to those attending swimming.  If you are attending a fitness class or gym session changing facilities will not be available.

Q. WHEN WILL COMMUNITY HALLS REOPEN?

Community Halls will remain closed at this time unless required for essential childcare services or Food Bank/COVID Response.

Q. WILL THE CAFE BE OPEN?

Unfortunately, all our cafes will remain closed at this time.

Q.IS THE CRECHE OPEN?

As our creche is located in Perth Leisure Pool, this service will be closed at this time.

Q. CAN I BOOK A BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR MY CHILD AT ONE OF YOUR VENUES?

No, this service is not currently available in any Live Active venues.
