Registration:

Registration will be from 10:45 to 12:15 in the 3 court hall in Strathearn Community Campus.

Race Briefing:

Race Briefing will 12:30 for all athletes

All participants must attend a briefing which will be held in the assembly hall (The Tryst) at Strathearn Community Campus. We welcome parents to be present at the briefing.

Swim:

The swim is a 40m (2 lengths Age 8), 120m (6 lengths age 9-10), 200m (10 lengths age 11-12), 320m (16 Lengths age 13-16)
There will be 4 lanes, 4 athletes per lane in each heat.

Athletes will be placed in heats according to their age group and your estimated swim times, younger heats going off first. You will be set off at 5 second intervals according to your allocated swim hat colour. You must not overtake slower swimmers within your lane. If you are faster than the swimmer in front of you, touch their feet and the slower swimmer must allow you to overtake at the turn.  A lap counter will indicate 2 lengths to go by “tapping” your head or feet if you use tumble turns, with a swim float. Do not argue with the lap counter, you have swum your distance when they tell you.

Transition:

Transition is in a section of the campus car park. Each athlete will be given a race number which needs to be on the front of their running shirt or tri suit. Athletes put their running kit by the rack which has the same number. After the swim the participants will run out the campus through a fire exit from pool side and into the Car park to the transition area where they will have put on tariners and any other race kit required

Run:

Run routes are to be advised and will be available on the race web site at www.liveactive.co.uk shortly.

Age Category awards:

The presentation will take place in the Assembly Hall at Strathearn Community Campus and an estimated time for this will be published once we confirm the number of heats.
