Our sport development team are here to help clubs and community sport hubs within the Perth and Kinross area. Find out below who are staff are and how they can help.
Phil Coleman
Role: Community Sport and Partnership Manger
Location: Perth & Kinross

Phil is part of the Live Active Leisure management team. He has overall responsibility for the Sports Development and Health and Wellbeing teams and leads on securing external funding to support the growth and sustainability of services.

Logan McConachie
Role: Sport Development Officer
Location: Perth and Highland Perthshire
Joined the team: September 2016
Logan works with clubs and community sport hubs in Perth and also in Highland Perthshire. He manages our Modern Apprenticeship team and our sport specific programmes (football and cricket) as well as the promotion of funding opportunities.

Stevie Baxter
Role: Sport Development Officer
Location: Perth and Kinross-shire
Joined the team: September 2019
Stevie works with clubs and community sport hubs in Perth and also in Kinross-shire. He leads on coach and volunteer development as well as our performance athlete programme.

Gemma Simpson
Role: Sport Development Officer (part time)
Location: Perth and Strathearn
Joined the team: October 2019
Gemma works with clubs and community sport hubs in the Strathearn area. She leads on inclusion, and the promotion of our sport development work (including social media and our annual Sports Awards).

Pete McDougall
Role: Sport Development Officer
Location: Perth and Eastern Perthshire
Joined the team: May 2022
Pete works with clubs and community sport hubs in Perth and also in Eastern Perthshire. He leads on our young leadership work and supports our link with Perth College UHI.

Ben Kellett
Role: Outdoor Activities Development Officer (part time)
Location: Perth and Kinross

Ben leads on the development of outdoor activities in Perth and Kinross creating opportunities, developing resources, removing barriers and supporting participation for all outdoor learners in Perth and Kinross.

Paul plans and delivers a school-based outdoor education programme that provides adventure opportunities to selected children across Perth and Kinross.
