Regular exercise has lots of health benefits for children and young people. In addition to the physical benefits such as building a stronger heart, bones and healthier muscles, it also provides an opportunity to socialise and meet new friends, build confidence and self-esteem, and improve concentration and memory.

We have programmes to suit everyone with term-time classes and lessons in gymnastics, football and swimming. Our special School Holiday Programmes feature week-long camps where many different sports are played plus specific camps for football, gymnastics and cricket. 

We believe every young person has a right to access sport and exercise activities, which is why we have a network of Active Schools Co-ordinators who work together with schools, parents and communities to offer children and young people opportunities to get active. Learn more about the Active Schools initiative at the link below.
