What do you love most about your job? 
I love coming into work every day and know that I a helping to make difference to someone.  Helping them get active, teaching them to play Boccia for the first time or achieving their goal of getting to a Boccia competition. 
 
I also support the All Ability Bikes, I love helping someone cycle round inch for the first time, especially if they’ve never ridden a bike before. 
 
Are you active in your spare time? If so, what activities do you do? 
I enjoy walking and running. 
 
So, what exactly is Boccia? 
Boccia, (pronounced ‘bot-cha’) is a Paralympic sport for athletes with a disability affecting locomotor function. It’s a target sport played indoors, from a seated position with soft leather balls.   
 
It can be played as individuals, pairs, or teams of three.  The aim of the game is to get close to the white ball, jack, than your opponent. 
 
Can anyone play Boccia? 
Yes, anyone can play boccia regardless of level or disability.   
 
Do you need any specialist skills to play Boccia? 
Nope.   
 
When and where is it on? 
Bell’s Sports Centre: 

• Boccia - Monday 13:30 – 14:30 
• Boccia - Wednesday 16:00 – 17:00 
• Boccia - Thursday 13:00 – 14:00 
• No Limits (multi-sport programme for adults with a sensory, physical or learning disability) – Thursday 14:00 – 16:00
