Dewars Centre Open Day – Discover Our 65+ Fitness Membership
Life doesn’t slow down just because we get older – and staying active is one of the best ways to keep up with everything that matters. Whether it’s carrying the shopping with ease, enjoying a kickabout with the grandkids, or simply feeling stronger and more confident, staying active makes everyday life that little bit easier – and a lot more enjoyable!
If you’re thinking about becoming more active and want to learn more about our 65+ Fitness Membership, we’d love to welcome you to our Open Day at Dewars Centre.
Join us on Thursday 22nd May, anytime from 10:00 - 14:00.

Taster Fitness Classes
Come and try one of our free fitness classes and experience what it would be like to be a member!
The classes are suitable for all fitness levels, with modified exercises available to suit individual needs.
Fitness Classes can be booked on the day by calling 01738 454700 or visiting reception when you arrive.
BodyBalance
10:30 - 11:30
Fitness Studio 2
A calming class that combines elements of yoga, tai chi and pilates to enhance flexibility, strength and mental wellbeing.
Core
10:45 - 11:15
The Gym
This class focuses on strengthening abdominal and back muscles which are crucial for stability and overall fitness.
Kettlebells
11:30 - 12:15
The Gym
Using a kettlebell (a cast iron weight with a handle), you'll perform dynamic movements such as swings, presses and pulls to improve your strength, endurance, coordination.
Pilates
11:45 - 12:45
Fitness Studio 2
Combining both strength and flexibility training, this class involves a series of controlled movements that will help to improve your balance and posture, creating long, lean muscles.
Social Circuits
12:30 - 13:15
The Gym
In this class you'll move around various exercise stations, performing different exercises for short periods of time.
You'll get a full body workout that combines both cardio and strength exercises.
Exercises at social circuits are of a lower intensity, making it ideal for anyone who's looking for a slower paced workout with less impact.
