Perth City Sports Hall block booking allocation season 24 25
Perth and Kinross Council and Live Active Leisure are now inviting community groups, sports clubs and individuals who are interested in placing block bookings for the indoor Sports halls across LAL venues and the PKC school estate within Perth City only to submit their applications for bookings between w/c 12 August 2024 and w/c 23 June 2025 inclusive.
The application deadline, for all venues, is midnight Sunday 23rd June 2024. No bookings will be confirmed in advance of this date, therefore there is no advantage in submitting your booking early. We will endeavour to have all bookings confirmed by w/c 22nd July 2024. Any bookings received after the deadline will still be considered but those received beforehand will be given priority.
How do I apply?
Clubs / groups must ensure that ALL booking applications are submitted as one and coordinated by one point of contact from each club / group. Multiple or duplicate applications from different representatives of the same club / group may not be processed.
Booking requests can only be submitted by completing this online form.
Should you have any difficulty in completing this form, please e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for assistance.
What information do you need?
Before accessing the online form we suggest that you gather and have to hand, all of the following information from your Club/Group for whom you are requesting a booking:
- What day(s) of the week / space / court / hall is required
- Earliest possible start time each day
- Latest possible finish time each day
- Space required i.e. 1 Court, 2 Courts etc
- Equipment required to be provided by the venue
- Expected average number of participants at each session and their age e.g. Adult / Junior
- Any other information relevant to the specific request
- Is the Club / Group PACES accredited
- Detail relating to your most recent winter booking (day/venue/times) even if not in LAL/PKC venues
How will Bookings be prioritised?
Bookings will be prioritised on the following basis:
Priority Level 1 – PACES* registered Clubs.
Priority Level 2 - Locally based loose-knit organisations/casual groups (Perth and Kinross)
Priority Level 3 - non-locally based club with NGB Quality Mark or equivalent accreditation
Priority Level 4 - Other non-locally based clubs, loose-knit organisations/casual groups.
Priority Level 5 – Other bookings
*PACES is the "Perth and Kinross Accredited Club Excellence Scheme" designed to help clubs operate efficiently and effectively. To find out more about the benefits of PACES and how to become registered please visit www.paces.org.uk/
Junior groups (aged 17 and under) will be given priority at the earlier times. At all times PKC and LAL will seek to maximise the utilisation of all the available sports halls and courts. As a result we are not asking you to identify a preferred venue and you may be allocated a slot in any of the venues listed that can accommodate your activity.
We will make every effort to accommodate requests as closely as possible, however given the anticipated high demand it is inevitable that in order to accommodate as many clubs / groups as possible we will require flexibility from all groups in terms of their start and finish times and in some cases you may be offered an alternative day.
Where bookings cannot be separated via the criteria above and in the event that demand exceeds supply, we will refer to the previous seasons allocation to reduce disruption to existing users and established routines.
We hope that you are assured of our intention to work collaboratively to ensure that available resources are distributed fairly and reasonably and that we can rely on your support through this process.
